OCCUPATION: Entered Cornell University in 1922 (but never graduated) intending to study Veterinary Medicine. Part way through Paul decided that he would like to help people more directly and switched to pre-medicine. At that time pre-vet and pre-medicine were 3 year courses. Vet. and Med. schools did not require a BS at that time. Because Paul switched subjects, he needed 3.5 years to complete the required pre-medicine courses and finished after the fall semester of 1925. He never graduated from Cornell. Paul then studied medicine at McGill University and graduated with the class of 1931 in May 1931. Paul later studied public health at Harvard University 1936-1937 and graduated in 1937 with a Master's in Public Health.
OCCUPATION: Paul set up a general medicine practice in part of his home in Gilbertsville, NY. He had the house remodeled so that the "office" was separate from the living quarters.

Francis had a motorcycle accident; sustained a head injury. Later shot himself.

Had typhoid fever which gave him mental problems. Was voluntarily admitted to St. Lawrence State Hospital in Ogdensburg, NY 24 Oct 1913. The diagnosis was Involution Melancholia. He improved while under treatment. Perry's brother thought it would help Perry to visit his home. He was paroled from the hospital 1 Jun 1914. A newpaper clipping advised the hospital of Perry's death, 15 July 1914 at his home on Spring Street, Watertown, NY.
